Accessories.

Beyond forming and shoring systems, FWS stocks the ties, rod, hardware, and release agent every pour depends on. The six families below are our most-ordered items — but they’re a starting point, not the whole shelf. Browse the categories below, and see “The Full Scope” further down the page for everything else we carry. The bottom line is, if you need it for your concrete pour, we can get it!

Loop Ties

Loop panel ties secure and space modular forms: the tie loop sits in the slot between panels, an A51 Wedge Bolt passes through the adjoining form and the loop, and a second Wedge Bolt locks through the first to hold tie and form together. All are available with plastic cones and a water-resistant washer to reduce seepage, and stainless steel versions are available for corrosion resistance.

Snap Ties

Each snap tie is fabricated with flats or crimps to prevent turning in the concrete during breakback, and is available with fixed metal spreader washers and a tight-fitting neoprene water-resistant washer near the tie’s center. Drill plywood holes 1/8″ larger than the tie head — a 5/8″ bit is normally sufficient.

D/R Rod

D/R Thread Bar is a high-strength 15mm and 20mm ductile steel tie rod with a full-length, cold-rolled contour thread — 2-1/2 threads per inch for fast installation and stripping. The Euro Thread Bar variant is hot-rolled with two flat sides for self-cleaning and a gripping surface for hand-turning, and is bendable. A full hardware line — cast and steel hex nuts, wing nuts, swivel wing nuts, hex couplers, and cast nut washers — rounds out the system; double nuts are required to meet full D/R Thread Bar capacity.

Pencil Rod

Pencil Rod is a lightweight smooth tie rod used with Rod Clamps or Form Clamps for light wall and footing forming. The D12F Form Clamp is a single, versatile size covering 1/4″ to 3/8″ rod diameters — smooth or deformed — and is especially suited to battered or curved wall applications. A D14 Tightening Wrench (1/4″) draws the clamp assembly tight for proper seating; it should never be used for straightening forms or pulling rod from set concrete.

Anchor Bolts

F1 Screw Anchors and F2 Screw Anchor Bolts are ASTM A307 with skein threads, the most economical re-anchor insert where embedment depth is available — the assembled bolt and anchor must be embedded at least ten times the bolt diameter to develop the rated load. 1-3/4″ and 2″ sizes are available on special order. Caution: the screw anchor bolt is not interchangeable with a Coil Bolt or National Coarse bolt.

Form Release

F1 Screw Anchors and F2 Screw Anchor Bolts are ASTM A307 with skein threads, the most economical re-anchor insert where embedment depth is available — the assembled bolt and anchor must be embedded at least ten times the bolt diameter to develop the rated load. 1-3/4″ and 2″ sizes are available on special order. Caution: the screw anchor bolt is not interchangeable with a Coil Bolt or National Coarse bolt.
